You know it, you’ve seen it a thousand times on television (especially when the news breaks of the first swim of the year) but it’s the first time you’re going to the beach and you want to take advantage of it. Our main focus this month is the Malvarrosa beach, one of the most spectacular beaches in Valencia and a summer temple where you can enjoy a real beach day with a touch of ché.

Considered an “urban beach”, this natural area – located less than 30 minutes from our hotels Petit Palace Ruzafa and Petit Palace Plaza de la Reina – is ideal for those travelling with family and friends and is a place that you can eat while enjoying an afternoon of parasailing. Why is it considered a place of worship for lovers of the summer? Take the towel and come with us today that we will review its highlights.

A spacious beach next to the city

The beach of Malvarrosa is an urban beach because of its perfect connection with the main points of the capital (this beach features on many of the city bus routes).

Having appeared on television for many years (because it is the most popular beach on the Levantine coast), this beach is characterised by its enormous length and width. Two aspects that make it a perfect beach for those travelling as a family (in other words, if you travel with your family, your children will have plenty of space to run around in and make castles).

Clean and pretty

The beaches of Valencia are not like those of the Balearic Islands although they share the same sea, we know it. However, Malvarrosa – despite being the most frequented it is also the cleanest and most beautiful urbanised beach. Furthermore there are many who stay here until sunset because here is one of the best places to watch it.

Its fine golden sand and crystalline water come together perfectly with those wooden boats that are used by the more traditional sailors that occupy this beach. Without a doubt an incredibly photogenic place.

Valencian flavour in pure form

Lively and full of services, the beach of Malvarrosa has a seafront full of restaurants ideal to enjoy an authentic paella or bars in which you can enjoy a piña colada or sangria made with oranges freshly picked from trees. The best way to take a break from your beach session is to fill yourself up with all the good of the Valencian gastronomy.
