Although the months of June, July and August are the ones that give meaning to the word summer, in our country there are places that live their “second summer” once they are released from the great tourist mass and after recovering its calm and tranquillity. Malaga is one of those destinations and yes, that summer (or second summer) takes place now: in these first weeks of October.

Peñón del Cuervo Beach
About ten minutes from the Petit Palace Plaza Málaga is the Playa del Peñón del Cuervo. A beach of sand and rock of great importance that is considered a “protected biological enclave” since it shelters the so-called “Siempreviva Malagueña”, a really beautiful and interesting algae in danger of extinction.
Playa de la Galera
Here you can enjoy the calm of the sea and appreciate the spectacular submarine life without having to take diving courses or learning to breathe with a tank. Just experiencing the sea using your mask and your snorkel is also possible in Playa de la Galera.
This beach that is located in Estepona about 50 kilometres from the Petit Plaza Málaga hotel and is considered one of the best for those wanting to enjoy snorkelling. Beyond its cleanliness and being a beach that is hundred percent natural, the area in question is very close to the Straits of Gibraltar, an area that is characterized by its marine wealth.
The spectacular beaches of Nerja
Although you will also have to take the car to visit the city of Nerja, actually it is another one of those enclaves ideal for snorkelling lovers of. A place that is characterized by its terrestrial and submarine environmental quality and that offers diving spots that are a real delight and the best thing is your peace of mind.
The cliff of Maro-Cerro Gordo
Our last stop takes us to the cliff of Maro-Cerro Gordo, a perfect place to enjoy advanced snorkelling. The area offers divers 90 percent visibility thanks to its crystalline waters and high calibre marine richness.
