The Dcode comes back to Madrid! The next 13th of September the Madrilian capital will host again this music international festival, becoming one of the centres of the musical panorama. In this fourth edition, the Dcode comes back to the Campus of the Complutense University of Madrid with a fabulous lineup and with novelties in the organisation that will make the public enjoy like never before.
In the last edition of the Dcode, artists like Vampire Weekend, Franz Ferdinand or Love of Lesbian visited its stage, and this year’s lineup will not deceive the public. The Northamerican Beck will be the headliner of the Dcode 2014, with its original style that combines varied genres like pop, folk, psicodelic rock, hip-hop, country, blues, indie rock, experimental rock, jazz or event Latin music.
La Roux will be another of the highlights of the festival, in which Elly Jackson will present her new work ‘ Trouble in Paradaise’ and will make the public dance with its electro dance rhythm.
The Scottish synthpop band Chyrches will also play in the Dcode 2014, as well as the Spanish band Vetusta Morla, who will surprise their public with their new work ‘La deriva’. The indie-folk singer and songwriter Jake Bugg will also play in the festival with its second album ‘Shangri La’, as well as the Londoners Bombay Bicycle Club, who will be presenting their new album ‘So long, see you tomorrow’.
Another of the headliners of the festival will be two rock British bands, the Band of Skulls, with their third album, ‘Himalayan’, and the rock duo Royal Blod. The feminine sector will be represented in the Dcode with artists like Russian Red, who will be presenting their new album ‘Agent Cooper’; the British artist Anna Calvi, with its indie rock; or the pop Chilean singer Francisca Valenzuela.
And as one would have expected, national groups will also be represented in the festival, with Belako, who always impress the public with their live concerts, Sexy Zebras, with their new album ‘Volvamos a la selva’, or Perro, with their rock, punk, pop, noise, kraut and electronic combination.
A complete lineup with varied bands that will make the 13th of September a really special night. The Dcode arrives at Madrid to conclude the festival period in Spain.
If you are going to visit the capital for the Dcode 2014, we recommend you stay in any of the Petit Palace hotels in Madrid, from where you can easily get to tourist attractions like Puerta del Sol or Plaza Mayor square.
