In a few days Madrid will again become the centre of European fashion with the celebration of the 61st edition of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid (MBFWM). It will be between the 6th and the 11th of February when around 40 of the best Spanish fashion designers gathered in the capital will be given to present their proposals for the autumn-winter 2015-2016 collection.

The fashion week in Madrid also coincides, for a third consecutive year, with the MOMAD Metropolis fair, the international exhibition of textile, footwear and accessories that congregates in the capital hundreds of fashion companies of the Spanish and international fashion industry.

Madrid will host on the same week two of the most important events in the fashion industry at national and international levels. All eyes will be set on the Spanish capital, and both fashion professionals and fashion enthusiasts will benefit from the synergy of this double event that aims to guarantee mutual promotion

The 61st edition of the MBFWM will hold, as well as the collections of about 40 of the most recognised fashion designers in Spain, the proposal of 20 young designers at the Samsung Ego Showroom. It will be in the Cibelespacio, where in addition to PRESENTAR their creations, there will be the possibility of a direct sale.

The IFEMA Exhibition Centre will be the place where both events will take place, and which will showcase Spanish and international fashion.

Madrid’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week is the best example of the new trends and the level and quality of creation in Spain, so if you’re a “fashionista” or a fashion professional you can’t miss this event. In previous editions of the fashion week, there were over 45,000 attendees, which represents the magnitude of the event.

If you are going to travel to Madrid to attend the MBFWM, we recommend that you stay at any of the hotels Petit Palace has in Madrid, situated in different locations of the capital. We especially recommend the Petit Palace Madrid Aeropuerto hotel, located very close to Madrid’s airport and the exhibition centre, and offers free transfer to IFEMA.
